Kansas licenses must renew every twenty-four months from the date of issuance. K.S.A. 65-6313(a)
A one-time requirement of social work safety awareness training is required for all new social workers.  K.S.A. 65-313(b)(2)
Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW)
40 continuing education units are required every two years.  Three of the continuing education units must be related to professional ethics.  102-2-4a(b)
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
40 continuing education units are required every two years.  Three of the continuing education units must be related to professional ethics.  102-2-4a(b)
Six of the continuing education units must be related to the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders must be completed.  K.S.A. 65-6313(b)(2)
Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW)
